SmartLease: B2B Device Leasing
The brief.
A B2B leasing model where employees pick devices through their company's benefits portal and the company handles deduction through payroll. Capex purchases turn into op-ex subscriptions.
The problem.
Device refresh in Indian companies is a capex event with awkward depreciation, weak buy-back markets, and friction for the employee who actually picks the phone or laptop. Procurement teams and end users end up on opposite sides of the same transaction.
What I did.
Advised on SmartLease, a device-leasing product for Indian enterprises. Helped shape the pricing model, lease structure, and product flow from concept toward pilot, including a lessor portal that gives the corporate, the employee, and ops their own view of each active asset.
Where it stands.
Took SmartLease from idea to a structured, financeable leasing product ready for pilot.
